Happy New Year -- and New Beginnings

Vox Pop is moving forward with even more programming and events so be sure to check our event calendar at www.voxpopcafe.com regularly.

Our next benefit show is scheduled for Thursday, February 18 at the world famous Coney Island Side Show Theater located at 1208 Surf Ave.

This wonderful event, hosted by Adam (the First Real Man) Rinn will include sideshow arts by the Coney Island Girlie Freakshow featuring Serpentina, Angelica and Krissy Kocktail, old school burlesque acts including Miss Cherry Delight and Celia Next Time and great music for your dancing pleasure by the Young Dads and Arrowsmith.

Tickets are $20 and available in person at Vox Pop Cafe, on line via Paypal, or at the door the night of the show.

We are still selling memberships in Vox Pop for $40. And, we have Vox Pop t-shirts for $22 made by American Apparel and screened with organic dyes. Even better, every t-shirt we purchase donates one t-shirt to a local shelter program. Now, that's the Vox Pop way. And, we now have our new 16 oz stainless steel travel mugs. Refills are only $2. And, of course, the best way to help support us is to come to Vox Pop. We have a new light menu for evenings with loads of desserts and things that pair well with coffee, beer and wine. Let's start getting people to think of us as the live music after dinner destination. Sure, enjoy all the great new restaurants in the area, but end off your evening with live entertainment and great desserts.

Come enjoy our fair trade coffees and teas, our organic foods, luscious desserts and microbrew beers and ciders. We also have a wonderful line of hand made merchandise and books. A continuous stream of revenue will keep us open permanently.

About Vox Pop

"This quintessentially Brooklyn café is one of those rare places where lefty politics, music, books, food, wifi, local art, and community come together. On any given night, you might find a political speaker, a hipster band, an open mic night, a storyteller, a comedy show, a jazz jam, a new-music act...VoxPop: keepin' it real in Brooklyn!"

WNYC's Soundcheck

"Part bookstore, coffee bar, performance space, instant publishing center, community center, Vox Pop is sort of a live blog, with tons of atmosphere and cultural vitality."
